Gulla Sports Law Group offers a unique combination of legal, sports, and business experience that extends well beyond the traditional practice of law. Before founding the firm, Chris Gulla served as a collegiate basketball coach, a certified sports agent, general counsel to various for-profit and not-for-profit sports entities, and spent more than 15 years representing clients in complex legal disputes.
Our practice has included advising on nearly $20 Million in NIL and Revenue-Sharing agreements, representing clients in domestic and international contract negotiations, resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration, and litigation, and much more. We invite you to explore the Representative Experience sections throughout the website to learn more about the breadth of matters we have handled and the value we strive to provide to every client.

Our fee structure depends on the nature of the matter and the scope of services requested. Many matters are handled on an hourly basis with detailed invoices issued every 30 days containing a summary of every task performed, while certain projects - such as contract drafting - may be offered on a flat-fee basis.
We recognize that every client and every assignment is different, and we are committed to developing a fee arrangement that is fair, transparent, and appropriate for the representation involved.

Choosing legal counsel is more than finding someone who understands the law - it’s about finding a partner who understands your industry, goals, and the challenges you face. Gulla Sports Law Group combines more than 15 years of litigation experience with firsthand experience as a certified sports agent and agency executive, collegiate basketball coach, general counsel, and NCAA compliance professional. That unique background allows us to provide practical, strategic advice grounded in the real-world business of sports.
Unlike many larger firms, every client works directly with Chris Gulla. We take the time to understand each client’s objectives, communicate clearly, and develop solutions tailored to their specific circumstances.
Our goal is not simply to solve today’s legal issue, but to become a trusted advisor for tomorrow’s opportunities.
-
We offer both. Some clients retain Gulla Sports Law Group for a single matter - such as reviewing a contract, drafting a specific legal document, or handling a specific dispute. Others choose to establish an ongoing relationship, relying on us as trusted legal counsel throughout their athletic or business operation careers.
Our representation is tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances. No matter the size or complexity of the matter, our commitment remains the same: to provide practical, responsive, and strategic legal counsel focused on achieving your objectives.
-
In many cases, yes. At the onset of a representation, we will discuss the anticipated scope of work and, when appropriate, provide a good-faith estaimate of the time and cost we expect may be involved. Our goal is to help clients make informed decisions and to avoid unexpected surprises whenever possible.
That said, legal matters are often difficult to predict. New facts may emerge, opposing parties may take unforeseen positions, negotiations may evolve, or additional legal issues may arise that affect the amount of work required. As a result, any estimate provided is necessarily an approximation rather than a guarantee.
If circumstances materially change during the representation, we will communicate with you promptly, explain why additional work may be necessary, and discuss the anticipated impact on fees before moving forward.
-
Yes. When you retain Gulla Sports Law Group, you work directly with Chris Gulla throughout your representation. Unlike most other law firms where matters may be delegated among multiple attorneys or support staff, your legal matter receives Chris’ personal attention from start to finish.
We believe effective representation begins with a strong attorney-client relationship. By working directly with Chris Gulla, you can expect consistent communication, a thorough understanding of your objectives, professionalism, and legal advice tailored towards your unique circumstances.

We understand responsive communication is a priority as legal issues often involve stress, tight deadlines, and time-sensitive opportunities. Our goal is to respond to client communications promptly and to keep matters moving forward efficiently.
We strive to remain accessible by phone, email, and virtual meetings, and we routinely accommodate clients located across different states and countries. We also recognize that many athletes and sports professionals have demanding schedules, so when appropriate, we are available for evening and weekend meetings by appointment.
Above all, we believe clients should never feel left wondering about the status of their matter. Clear communication, responsiveness, and accessibility are fundamental to the way we practice law.
-
Always. We believe that informed clients make better decisions. Throughout your representation, we will keep you advised of significant developments, explain your available options, and provide practical guidance as your matter progresses.
The frequency of updates naturally depends on the nature of the representation. Some matters require frequent communication, while others may have periods of little significant activity. Regardless of the pace of your matter, we remain committed to responding to your questions, discussing meaningful developments, and ensuring you understand where your matter stands and what comes next at all times.
Our goal is to build a relationship built on trust, transparency, and open communication so that you feel informed and confident throughout the representation.
